It can feel difficult to break through the noise—but it’s not impossible.
Since June 2015, I’ve been helping The Minimalists connect with millions of people who want to live meaningful lives with less using social media. During that time, we’ve focused on creating a remarkable, lasting experience for people who find value in our work on our social pages.
We’ve grown not because we obsess over algorithms, statistics, or metrics; but because we adhere to our values & create an experience worth sharing.
Every day (except Saturdays) I curate The Minimalists Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest. I’ve managed several promotional strategies, including our social media strategy that helped Pakt Bag become Indiegogo’s most successful campaign of 2017. I’ve spearheaded the marketing and documentation of dozens of media appearances, as well as sixty tour stops across the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
We’ve experimented extensively during the last three years with social media; for example, in January 2018, we blacked out our channels for the entire month.
My work at The Minimalists has been noted on The Kevin Rose Show, Buzzfeed, and Unsplash. We’re followed by Bill Burr, Joe Rogan, Terry Crews, Tom Anderson, Derek Sivers, James Altucher, Lewis Howes, Tim Ferriss, Elizabeth Gilbert, Dan Harris, and Sam Harris. (And, oddly, The Container Store.)
And, by communicating with our audiences using social media beautifully and intentionally, we’ve helped effect positive change in our world by raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for The Against Malaria Foundation, Gem City Market, and charity : water.
